400 to 1600 points. most are about 800 though, which is about $11.50 for me
(point costs vary from country to country, you will have the option to purchase points by credit card once you set up an XBL account. You can also purchase point cards from retailers. )

also...every arcade game has a Trial version which can be downloaded free, so you know what you are buying.

No worries about the posting. Also since you are a Nintendo fan in a sense Banjo Kazooie will be released sometime soon if you were in to it. There is a crapton of puzzle games available including the one u should alrdy have! Hexic Hd!

Yeah, she loved the Hexic on 360... it's installed on our system along with 16 other games.  I noticed some say trial version, does that mean it expires?  The Hexic didn't have that notice so I'm not sure if it's for keeps.

Congrats on your purchase. I use my HD DVD for HD DVD and DVD playback and save my 360 for gaming and LIVE.

Still, welcome to the club.

That was going to be my next question *to try them*. So I can try any game on XBLA? It just seems a little too good to be true. The Wii doesn't have trials, or anything to give me some indication of what I'm getting.  Normally this wouldn't bother me but I've been disappointed with a lot of the disc based games on the Wii so I don't bother with any of the downloadable  Wii games as a result.

Does that make a person who likes Final Fantasy a Nintendo fan as well? xD

The trials themselves will not expire so you can keep them as long as you want. They just arent full versions of the game. If the game doesn't say trial version than its yours to keep!

Trial versions are essentially demos. they provide some gameplay and sometimes some screenshots and videos.
available on a free silver account, no expiration.

Also:
Aegis Wing is a free game, as is Totem Ball (Vision Camera required for Totem Ball though).

edit:  Hexic is a free, full game that comes pre loaded on all systems.

edit2:  there is also a large collection of demos for retail games

Banjo was awesome!!! I still have both games.  I stopped playing video games after the N64 (my favorite system).  I got a gamecube but ended up being so horribly disappointed with it that I chucked it and lost touch from there... plus, I was finishing up school, busy doing work presentations.  I missed the whole online era LOL
