Forums - Sony - sonys positioning on its games

i have to say i mnow more happy than ever with sony and its games positioning

sony to me have seen to been reacting to this change in 3rd party support, now with alot of developers going mulitiformat to maximise its revenue due to high development costs i am pleased to see sony starting to create new franchises from 1st party studios, previously in the generation of the ps2 and ps1 sony's major hits have all been 3rd party, however in this generation its almost impossible to get 3rd party exclusives(thnks to a certain microsoft who just ploughs cash at developers) and this has hit sony hard with previoulsy annoucend exclusives like devil may cry 4, final fantasy 13, assiasns creed all going multi format, but im pleased to see sony is doing the smart thing and investing in its own franchises and creating lots of new ones like resitance, uncharted, little big planet, heavenly sword, folklore, motorstorm and many more existing franchises like ratchet and clank, killzone and the special gran turismo series. sony are trying to create stable 1st party franchies like nintendo with mario, zelda and metroid and this i am proud of sony has been it hard this generation but by concentrating on first party development i think it will start to see a good turn around soon

Around the Network

Sony is doing well working on their First-party games rather than going after Third-Party games.

sony is going for new IP's, microsoft is buying off the old ones.
