Yeah, Matt at IGN has hinted or even talked about it many times now. Matt does tend to run his mouth more than he ought but he doesn't tend to go on about stuff he's not sure about so I give rank this rumour - 85% probably true.

Of course it is, but that doesn't mean it isn't really in developement. Here are just 3 reasons why its very likely.
Pit was in SSBB
Matt has been saying it is real forever now.
Miyamoto hinted at it when he was asked about it.
Even if its not in developement, I could see nintendo start making just because it seems to be what everybody wants.

Well I dont want that very possibilty to happen.:P I want a full fledged game not some Wiiware 2D stuff.

I think it's still coming. We'll probably hear more about it late this year, or next year sometime.
I definitely believe Kid Icarus is coming to the Wii.

The fact that Miyamoto did a whole song and dance around it when asked pretty much confirmed it for me.
He said he wasn't the producer of that game so he couldn't comment on it.
He didn't say it didn't exist. He said he wasn't directly involved in it. He wouldn't say he wasn't involved in a game that didn't exist. It was just another one of his wry confirmations.
