The PSP is a great little gadget. Really that's the best way to describe it, because it does so much, is so small, and really is so stylish.
I've had my one since about 3 months after it first released and i can honestly say i use it everyday - i don't even know how long that is..! but it's worked so well, and i've never had a problem with it.
I watch movies on it, listen to music when out and about, surf the internet when in Wi-Fi hot zones, stick the sony memory card from my camera in it to view my pics, and you'll never guess what... i even play games on it!
and the games have gotten so much better. the first time in played God of War on it, i couldn't believe the clarity of the picture and the quality of the game play. This little machine gives so much.
I'm also really interested in getting the new slimline model for the extra features, and slim size. the ability to plug it into a normal TV to watch movies on is a big bonus, especially since i travel quite a bit.
the increased battery life would also be a bonus, but it's pretty good as it is, i can use mine for a couple before recharging, but i usually stick it to recharge overnight.
i wish it had a touch screen, because i like the look of the brain training games on the NDS, but appart from that, i think the PSP has it all.
[Edit] FPSs are a problem on the console with the lack of the second analogue stick, i think this was a massive oversight and would have helped the system so much, but developers are getting better and working out ways around it. as a result the games seem to be getting way more fun to play.
Not to mention new IPs like Patapon which is one of the most addictive games ever! although the rhythmic button pressing will piss off anyone around you!
