Forums - Nintendo - Maybe Nintendo’s Just Not Into You

I was liking it til I read this:

Those titles, and countless third party mini game collections, have been the titles that have made Nintendo the most money and have helped reach a larger audience then ever before, not Zelda, Metroid or even Mario.

And it's just simply not true haha. Especially the Mario part haha. It's the most successful franchise ever.

Huh what?  I don't see why you are wrong with that.  He is talking about this gen and he is true.  Not Metroid, Zelda or Mario are making the most money for Nintendo now but games like Wii sports, Wii play, Mario en Sonic Olympics etc..

Do the people who write these articles research AT ALL? A simple search on wikipedia would show that Nintendo has released just about the same amount of "core" titles as they did with the gamecube. Nintendo has hardly abandoned anyone.

Thing is, these people really care about getting their opinions on the web and nothing more. They may just want attention or hope they may crush their foe. Overall, they dont actually try to write a good, well-thoughout articel and instead give a fanboy rant.

*primal scream*

I wonder how that guy did it - he trolled his own post, that was amazing.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Is there anything that Nintendo could do that would actually stop people from freeking out and claiming that they're destroying the industry?

Yes, they could release a NEW game for core gamers instead of regurgitating sequels for the same franchises over and over again.

Well said, the guy with God of War avatar. Nintendo should follow GoW example:

1) Space out the sequels like releasing only 3 games in 3 years
2) Change the gameplay formula every game. Like with more real time button presses minigames and puzzles involving crates and levers
3) Change the plot and try new things. Like making the whole plot about vengeance and killing a different set of gods every game.

What're the most aniticipated games?
Silent Hill Homecoming (sequel)
Resident Evil 5 (sequel)
Soul Calibur IV (sequel)
Street Fighter IV (sequel, with a bunch of previous games)
Fallout 3 (sequel)
Killzone II (sequel)
Yes, Core gamers love New IPs. Don't take me worng there're some great new releases in the future but for every LBP ther're a lot of sequels and remakes, and the point is that they get more hype than new IPs

I would love that but I also Bouzane means  a New Zelda, Mario or even finally a 3D Pokemon game that is like the handheld games...

Oh come on! These kind of "articles" are nothing but hardcore propaganda. So he preferes his macho games from xbox? FINE! be happy! who cares! but saying that "nintendo doesn't loves ya like Micro$oft" is delusion as it best.

Seriously people, you're making a big buzz for that conference. GET. OVER. IT!!

People that call TP and SMG and MP3 core games are delusional, They are the EASIEST in their respective 3D franachises! They have been casualized! They are no longer truly hardcore games.
