At least the author didn't try to discount Nintendo outright as "last-gen" or "in a market of its own", as I figured they would when it became clear the Wii was going to take the lead in North America eventually.

^^ am sure after 2 years the PS2's profitability was pretty good, and look at the sales numbers from then on... heck it's still selling now LOLl

It was... yet oddly GC made more profit then the PS2 in the generation. Likely due to Sony's loss leading strategy.
