Actually, my younger brother wants a Wii, but my parents won't get it for him - because of this very reason.

Every single person I know, gamer or not, who has purchased a Wii stopped playing it after a couple of months. Hell, one of my mates who got Super Mario Galaxy, and RE4 Wii with it got bored of it and gave it to his sister, three weeks later, she had stopped playing it.

People buy this console after just playing it for one evening, they buy it for Wii Sports, Wii Play, and Wii Music... not for Zelda, Mario, Metroid. Hence Nintendo's E3 presentation. Nintendo fan(boys?) seem to have trouble understanding that.

It relies on an amazing level of double-think. We're expected to believe that casuals don't buy games, while also believing the Wii only sells casual games. The sales figures speak for themselves.

For my personal experience, since I've got my Xbox 360 last Christmas, I've stopped playing my Wii entirely... Well, almost. I've played it when Brawl, Mario Kart Wii and Okami arrived, but then I was back on my Xbox 360 after completing them 100%. I was playing other games online (lag free experience too).

I guess that's what drives me away from it: the online experience. I would have wayyy more fun playing Brawl if it wasn't for the button lag and constant screen-freeze. I've tried everything, trust me! I've even wasted money on a USB LAN adapter, but there was just nothing to do about it. Mario Kart Wii is quite good, but it gets boring when you can't talk to the person you're playing against or just add him to your friends list after the race and everything. I wish I could pay Nintendo so they could have a better service... ;_;

But then again, I guess I'm considered hardcore, so what you said above probably doesn't apply to me...

I have a friend that has hardcore games for it, but he still doesn't play it.
All of my other friends love the Wii, however.

this means that the end of the Wii is near and Mario and Zelda won't sell any more, omg, noone will buy new games because they stopped playing their Wii, this means Wii being 1st in software is a lie, all lies!!!

Those kind of comments you can direct in two ways.     I have noticed that it's only the N fanboys who mysteriously don't know people who bought a Wii and never play it;..


But then again I am sure they meant...Bought it..Played on it but don't play so much on it anymore or just stop playing it...

On topic I think most of the people that say they know somone are lying.  Why is it that there is not a single person on this site that stopped playing with their Wii after like a week but there are so many people that no someone that did?  Seems strange to me.

 I wasn't saying that at all.

 Information can be interpreted in many ways and explained to the public. An example is the spins after the NPD numbers.

It started with the DS and in time they all had to shut up.

Wii will follow the same path
