I’m glad you made it through 3rd grade. So I guess we can do the Math together now., ready?

Wii fit sales= 5.73 million

Metroid Prime 3 sales= 1.43 million

5.73/1.43= 4.007

That means that 4 copies of Wii fit have been sold for every copy of Metroid Prime 3. Not 1 per every 1 as you suggest.

I guess trolling=telling the truth to you too huh?

I never suggested that they sold the same. Lets do the 3rd grade math shall we. Game A has sold 2 copies. Game B has sold 1 copy. By what percentage did Game A outsell Game B? Correct answer is 100%. Now if Game A has sold 4 copies, and Game B has sold 1 still then what percentage did Game A outsell Game B? Correct answer 300%.

Your thread title is dead wrong, and you don't even understand elementary math. This people, is how you troll a troll.

I bet you a million dollars that 400% will be conservative in but a few months time and the number will be more like 600%. That's how I slam a fanboy.

Wii Fit is still ahead of PS3 sales in Japan. Yay for Wii Fit! It's going to beat a lot of games/systems when all is said and done.

@Leetgeek Actually that isn't an opinion in the OP rather than a collection of false statements without any real evidence to back them up. Also please tell me these 10 nintendo consoles. After counting up Nintendo consoles I count Nes, Snes, Virtual Boy, N64, Gamecube, Gb, Gba, Ds, and WIi.You already mentioned you don't own a wii, and I don't expect you to own a DS. So that leaves only 8 consoles left.

I had 2 NES systems. Game boy. GBA. Your wrong I do have a DS (2 I lost one), N64, 2 Gamecubes and SNES.

And 1 PS3.

I've most likely played more Nintendo games then any of the big N fanboys on this site for longer. So I know exactly what it feels like to be an exclusive Nintendo console owner anxiously, desperately waiting for Ninty to release more information about a new Zelda title because Nintendo wants to pretend that core games don't exist.

The problem is that there are no true artists at Nintendo, they're all just shrewd businessmen. That is what is destroying gaming, the fact that it is being run by businessman that know not one thing about art.

First Miyamoto is an art school graduate. Second, anybody that would argue that there aren't "true artists" at Nintendo, the company that has pushed some of the most surreal gaming worlds on gamers ever, and bizarre creatures, is clueless about art.

Don't even start this arguement.

Oh, and PS-What is SAVING gaming right now is Nintendo.

Do you think without the Wii, that the businessmen who gave us the PS3 and 360 were going to save the industry, OR DESTROY IT?

There's every evidence that Nintendo, is ONCE AGAIN, saving the industry.

Looks like there is nothing that will stop Wii Fit.

Nintendo Wii Fit boards may be sold out by Christmas, shopkeepers fear

Shopkeepers are running out of Wii Fit boards, the popular Nintendo video game accessory, and fear they may have none left for Christmas.

Waiting lists for the toys are reportedly growing by up to 1,000 people every day.

Websites which track new shipments of the gadgets are getting up to 30,000 visitors every 24 hours.

The Wii Fit game, which includes the board, was launched in April and combines playing a computer game with mild exercise.

The game can guide the user through 40 activities from yoga to slalom skiing and is specifically designed to encourage "exercise, improve posture and strengthen your body".

It consists of a computer game and a white 'balance board' about the size of a pair of bathroom scales that the player stands on to complete a variety of physical games. The board can also calculate the user's body mass index and Wii Fit 'age'.

Demand for the Nintendo Wii – the system on which the games are played – was high after its launch last year but the popularity of the game Wii Fit this year has amazed even its designers.

In its first two weeks, it sold 338,000 units, according to figures from Chart-Track, the official body that monitors computer games sales.

The initial figures were enough to make it the eighth best launch in computer history but its appeal is wider than just those in the gaming world.

Retailers said that there was particularly strong demand for the board among women.

Wii Fit sells in shops for around £70. Last night versions of the game were selling on internet auction site eBay for £119.99.

A spokesman for DSGi, the UK's largest electricals retailer which owns Currys and PC World, said: "If we get 1,000 in on Thursday or Friday they are all gone by Sunday. We comfortably sell out of our allocation."

Darren McKillop, who runs Wii-consoles.co.uk, a website which tracks shops' stocks of the device, said: "We're seeing summer stock shortages that will most likely run into the Christmas shopping period.

"I think a lot of people have realised that if they don't buy one now, it could be even more difficult, if not impossible to buy one later in the year.

"Wii Fit is far more than just another game – it's a virtual workout that will get British couch potatoes off the sofa and into shape."

Nintendo was unavailable for comment.

My point exactly.

Swing and a miss. While 600% is unrealistic for a few months, I would say it is probably a lowe estimate for a year or so off. Metroid Prime 3 was god awful and did nothing to live up to the charm of the original Prime let alone the original Metroid series. Feel free to keep trying though.

Oh, he is so slammed by a smugly written prediction. [/sarcasm]

This thread is crap. It says nothing about core gamers on the Wii except that they are there, since Metroid is a hit game, and has sold about 6 times as many copies as in its launch week, when people were calling it a failure.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

You do know the highest selling Metroid game only sold 2.83m....

In other words, it's in the top 85th percentile of game sales.

The rest of gaming rarely makes it over 500k, and very few games actually reach a million. So to anybody trying to argue that Metroid's sales suck, congrats! You've proven that it's one of the rare franchises in the industry that repeatedly sells between 1 and 3 million.

Every time.
