ahhhh,,damn it,,,,I was hoping for a fighting game or a shooting game like the spin off of the FFVII on PS2(

Final Fantasy VII: Dirge Of Cerberus)

I never got into the whole RPG thing and guessing never will.

so it's definitly another RPG game?

FFVXIII has nothing to do with Oblivion and Mass Effect. WRPG and JRPG are really different and most fans of a genre dislike the other.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

PS3 exclusives-another one bites the dust. Sing along you know the song

that really isnt a balanced comparison.

The 360 was the only console out when Oblivian was released and there is the difference in market share when Marvel was released. I'm almost sure if both were released now they would sell pretty evenly.

If a company is looking to sell a game that is styled more for a Western audience, do you think they are going to look at sales of JRPGs, or WRPGs?

I mean, look at SE's decision about XIII: VGC-ers (mainly Sony fans) constantly bash JRPG sales on the X360. So if SE was motivated by something else what would it be? Western RPG sales, most likely.

And if you feel the comparison is invalid, in 2 and 1/2 months, Fallout 3 will be on the market. if the Xbox 360 version outsells it, then we'll know what system sells WRPGs better :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The Xbox also does have the best selling JRPG of this generation with Lost Odyssey selling nearly a million now. Nothing this generation even comes close yet. Besides DS or PS3 Final Fantasy games.

FF versus XIII will be coming to 360 as well, but we already knew that.

Its a spinoff, and I don't expect it to be very good though. But Tales on X360 = better then any Final Fantasy possible.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I doubt that this game will remain exlusive. As a matter of fact, I think it is extremely stupid that Square would not reveal this at the same time. What surprises me the most is that PS3 fanboys are still using this as an exclusive to brag about.

Both games will be amazing. Both games will be played by twice as many people. Everyone goes home happy.

im sorry but all of your topics are ...just flawed... you compared completely different install bases and a port of a game and expect it to sell well or as good as the 360 version?

All games that are for english speaking people are gonna sell good on xbox because of the install base and thats the only reason.

But what you fail to metion is the ps3 has sold more units and at a faster pace then 360 (hardware) this year and there are no signs of slowing down... by time any of these ff games are released the install base for both will be much closer. Then we can compare a game like ff13 and sales on ps3 and 360. That year head start for 360 is what makes games like elder scroll sell more (plus the ps3 was not even out when that game dropped).

Just flawed.....

What you need to compare is GTA4... and what the ps3 is 1 million behind 360 with a 5 million lead on ps3? thats just not good and if the install base were closer then ps3 would be pushing much more software.

 silly fanboy

G4 and NPD sales showed the PS3 having a base of 12.5 million sold consoles during E3 and the 360 with 19.3 mill, while VGChartz shows it as 14.7 mill. Meaning VGchartz is off by about 2 million consoles for the PS3. That is a very large number, meaning that throughout this yer the PS3 has sold 2 million less consoles then vgchartz says.

Wherever the statistics are coming from, they are flawed badly.
