If a company is looking to sell a game that is styled more for a Western audience, do you think they are going to look at sales of JRPGs, or WRPGs?
I mean, look at SE's decision about XIII: VGC-ers (mainly Sony fans) constantly bash JRPG sales on the X360. So if SE was motivated by something else what would it be? Western RPG sales, most likely.
And if you feel the comparison is invalid, in 2 and 1/2 months, Fallout 3 will be on the market. if the Xbox 360 version outsells it, then we'll know what system sells WRPGs better :)
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
