Yeah how exactly do 360 owners eat crow if Versus stays exclusive just because it looks more awesome? Were we all saying the game was shit? Even starcraft says he's buying a PS3 for the game if it stays exclusive. If anything, we're all pretty excited about it and hope it comes out on 360.

I hope it stays exclusive, but i am not getting my hopes up. If it goes multiplatform i'll lose some interest for the game, since i mainly wanted to see what square enix could do with the ps3.

Agreed. Also I hear that the dude who made FF X-2 starring Japanese Hanna Montana is also the guy who's lead developer for FF 13 which is why I'm a little more interested in Versus.

I have a suspicion that this title will at least find its way onto the 360, or may even end up being exclusive for the platform. History has proven that elevation of any exclusive third party game by loyalists is an automatic status symbol to be stolen if possible, or diminished if practical. To put it bluntly elevating any of these games results in one thing it brings them firmly within Microsoft's sights.

We have to look at recent events Microsoft secures a number of exclusives from Square. Then they get a simultaneous launch of their mostly highly acclaimed exclusive title. Square may have felt it a responsibility to deliver thirteen to the PS3, but would they feel the same for versus especially if Microsoft negotiated exclusivity as part of a large package deal?

I highly recommend that none of Sony's console warriors turn this game into a bludgeoning instrument. I have already read a number of comments as to this title being a justification for all sorts of things, and what happens if Microsoft has pulled off a triple kill. First a handful of exclusives, and then stealing the biggest title, and finally fully stealing an exclusive for Sony.

What you just said underlined is why you should consider going back to sleep. FF13 will not be comming to the 360 in Japan at all. And If M$ has the juice you claim it does then why does this fact remain a fact?

Sony just needs to stick to focusing on their first party SCE studio games.

It's a much better policy from a gamer's standpoint than paying other developers to publish on their platform.

A) buy a console because its manufacturer is attempting to buy exclusivity with games they had absolutely no hand in creating

B) buy a console because its manufacturer is attempting to make more exclusive games for their platform

Isn't this funny how a 360 fanboy brings it up, other fanboys who are against Sony come and discuss it, and they actually make a thread about this?

#1 PS3 is still getting this game.
#2 This game will be just like GTAIV, except maybe a little bit more PS3 sided in terms of hardware. Japan will get a HUUUGE PS3 hardware boost while PS3 will get a minor one in NA. 360 will receive 0 boost.
#3 This changes nothing towards the PS3 outselling the 360 WW. Check NPD. Check VGChartz. The 360 is going to come in last regardless of what happnens, but "me too" announcements will definitely not be the thing that makes people choose a 360 over a PS3.
#4 Versus will probably come to the 360, since square really has no loyalty to anyone. Its proven already. Both FFXIII and FFXIII versus will sell maybe 2,000,000 WW combined LTD?

It was a blow to Sony. Point taken. It was a blow to Sony fanboys. Point taken. But past that what this does for anyone is beyond me. Look at the past sales of FF in the states since FFVII. Those sales split between two companies isn't going to be spectacular. It especially won't be spectacular on the 360 which, I guess I have to remind everyone, has yet to prove to be an RPG moving console at all. Mass Effect was Microsoft's most pushed title last holiday season behind Halo 3, and that title is yet to break 2,000,000 worldwide.

The denial of 360 fans even this far in to the year is just hilarious. You sound a lot like Sony fans last year, lol. "OMG AN IP THAT BARELY SELLS 2,500,000 in the regions receiving it just became MULTI-PLATFORM! This is the end of Sony1!!!!1!!! This will teach them to outsell the 360 by 33%+ all year long!"
