Forums - Gaming - Game output: North America vs Japan

The game output from North America, specifically the United States, versus Japan is a topic of importance.  Sales will be directly based on profitable games based on the output of NA or Japan corresponding to their respective fav consoles.  In this logical case, I am trying to find out who has the larger output of games and what percentage could be attributed a "shovelware" status.  Thoughts on this?

Start finding out where publishers come from. Seperate the American publishers from the Japanese. Go to Metacritic and put a search for each publisher and cut out games lower than a certain percantage you deem to equal shovelware. Get the amount of titles released, and maybe a metacritic average on all applicable titles released. Come here and get the sales for the games, looking at both markets. Combine the american publishers and combine the Japanese publishers. That should about do it, but it's a lengthy project I must say. Good luck with it.
