Kinda expensive though, if its worth it to you then go ahead. I'm pretty sure there's a better slightly less expensive TV out there for ya.
Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)
Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U
Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY
Sence I dont have one i cant really say, if you have the cash and are willing to spend it, and recieve good feedback then I say why not.

here's the thing, I'm all about the picture quality. I know that the best plasma are the Pioneer ones, but Panasonic seem to have a good PQ to price ratio
Now 2400 is well with in my budget and I can probably haggle and bring the price down a bit.
I just wanted to know if anyone already had one, that way I could get their opinion, because thus far their are no reviews for it.
I'm only thinking about it thus far, and am tossing between Sony Bravia KDL40w4000 and this Panasonic one.
any input will be much appreciated.

Yeah, just a friendly warning, don't let the mods catch you bumping a thread without any new info, it's a new rule.
Kickin' Those Games Old School. - 201 Beaten Games And Counting

I'd go with the Pansonic... I don't know anything about that model... but i've got working Panasonics TVs... and I don't know many Sony products period that last long after the warranty has passed.
Just don't trust them on anything but game systems... and even then I've went through like... 3-4 PS2s.

I went to Harvey Norman, and Domayne today and saw the Panasonic VIERA TH-42PZ800A.
Looks really nice even up close, the black levels where very good despite being in store lighting and the colours where very good as well.
doesn't any here own a Panasonic Plasma tv, at least the previous series
