Forums - Microsoft - The Comprehensive RPG Index: Upcoming RPGs for the Xbox 360

I havent really enjoyed a JRPG since Shinning Force 2. Is Spectral Force relatad to Shinning Force in anyway?

Great list - all of those games aside from Fallout, Rise of the Argonauts, and Zoids are on my to-buy list.

Tales of Vesperia looks friggin' awesome. The cartoony style has never really made the story any worse, though.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

OFT. The art style never makes a story better or worse.  Character interation(or lack of) do.

Oh hell, there is so much to play and I´m so damn late to the party.

One question:

When I buy my 360 later this year (November or something) is there one game (RPG) you´d definitely recommend me to buy? And I want a "ZOMG" game, I always buy my consoles together with a true "ZOMG" game, you know? Something that´s really going to blow me away and bring me back to RPG´s.

Right now, Mass Effect is the only true Next-Gen RPG on the market. By far, the best of any.

Atleast, thats IMO. If you want to talk JRPGs, I'd wait: We do have ToV and IU to go before November. Either game could usurp Lost Odyssey from it's perch as best JRPG.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Will Buy:

Tales Of Vesperia (if it's region free, i can't possibly wait till 2009 :P)
Infinite Undiscovery
Fable 2 (this one is a first day buy!)
The Last Remnant

@Louie

Pretty much what Stickball said, assuming you havent played Oblivion.

But dont rule out Fable 2, Fallout 3 or Too Human by the time November comes around.

Best advice = reviews.

Seriously you are spoilt for choice though :)

Right. There's a lot of "what if's" between now and November. I could easily see Tales, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Fallout 3, or Fable 2 usurping the last batch of RPGs on the X360 for best RPGs in a specific style, or overall.

IMO, ME > Oblivion in terms of "wow" factor. Mass Effect has, by far, the best ending to an RPG I have ever played in my 17 years as a RPG gamer. It's not the highest ranked, in terms of reviews (OB is higher), but it's storyline is head & shoulders above Oblivion.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The only for sure buys for me are
Fable 2
Fallout 3

I want Tales Of Vesperia but it always comes down to money.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.
