I'll take Sacred 2, Fable 2 (YEAH!) and of course Fallout 3.
I don't know guys. Whatever effort have I ever made with JRPGs was a total fiasco. You who know, which from the above is the most real time action oriented? I really can't stand another 2 hour long-same battle animation and countless potions and spells Boss fights!

Good.

Where are you in ToS?

No further.

But I played the ToV demo.  It was cool

Crazzyman, while I often think you're hilarious, you're annoying the people in this thread to no end.

Leave immediately, I'm not going to tolerate this.

would you say he is hilariously craazy, or craazily hilarious?

Hilariously crazzy, of course.

On topic: Very good, although the majority of them don't interest me. I'm actually quite interested in Lost Odyssey though. For recommendation purposes, what game or series do you guys think it's most similar to?

I would say it compares to Final Fantasy X, in terms of tone and the way the cast is fleshed out. It's a little more melancholy, though- Kaim's memories are really philisophical and circumspect. They are definitely one of the highlights of the game.

I was mostly talking about gameplay. If the tone and cast are like Final Fantasy 10, that actually discourages me quite a bit.

@ Montana the Mistwalker lead designer is the guy who made the FF series up until VIII or IX or something like that. So its definately got more similarities with the older FF series I think, though my memory is pretty hazy and I haven't played more than half of them. Maybe a combination of the FMV FFVII - FFIX and some of the earlier games.

Tease.

Oh. It's really pretty typically straightfoward and turn-based. The only peculiarities that come to mind are:

- The little mini-game mechanic in battles where, when you use a melee attack, you have to time your trigger pull as this ring that shrinks around this other ring. Similar to the wheel in Shadow Hearts, I guess.

- Your immortal characters can learn abilities from your mortal characters and accessories. I guess this is not really all that different from Blue Dragon or a ton of other games, though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hironobu_Sakaguchi that shows which FF games hes influenced. Edit: His original concept was FF 1,2,4,5,6,7.

He directed 1,2,3,4,5,7 and produced 6. and was executive producer of 8

On top of that he had some involvement with 9, 10, 10-2, and 11.

xD

This thread needs more Operation Darkness

Such wasted potential.  Taking down zombies and Dragons with WW2 soldiers would of been so awesome.

I can't wait to buy these games =)

Fable 2 is the most exciting on that list for me. I hope it realises the potenential of the original.
