It would be an awesome party game! Especially with 4 players!!

I don't think I need to describe in which ways it would be full of awesome because I would say that everyone who knows the game would know what im talking about.

I know it would be a hard undertaking... Open world - if four players went their seperate ways and just the incredible load on the consoles to pull it off, doesn't remove how awesome it would be though. Even if they made it so that people couldn't stray too far from P1 or something it would work, just having the game running like that would make any reasonable sacrafices worth it.

If they pull if off on the PC... Man, I would be taking my heavy ass box round to their place or calling them over to my place for some sick gaming fun.

Yeah I see GTA4 replacing halo in my household if that were the case...

Well, actually maybe not...

It wouldn't replace Halo 3 for me, it would be Halo 3 -> GTAIV -> Halo 3 -> GTAIV all night, until we found another game to play.

Update as DLC could enable this as a feature exclusive to the X360. Lol. DLC would be more likely some extra missions to do in GTA IV.

It *Might* be possible with a full install, seek time and streaming bandwidth from the DVD would absolutely kill this game if it had to stream for 2-4 different people/directions at the same time.

The issue is of course with the splitscreen and in a large city, your peripheral vision is destroyed

I'd settle for local multiplayer (LAN). Why does it seem like half the games with multiplayer released these days seem to be missing LAN options?
