No. Locked threads still exist but they just don't appear.

Not all the way back. If you go to the last couple of pages there are locked threads but you need to dig hard to find specific threads (unless you set up a VGC search engine like I did. Thanks Words of Wisdom :P).

Well of course, not all the way back. If you go ALL the way back, you would find some very interesting threads.

Trestres: Well if your intent isn't horrible, then don't complain every time someone says something bad about the Wii. Besides, a lot of the people responding to the thread were the sort of people I just about expected to say something bad (especially PIMP who I just got around to perma banning).

If this is not troll thread I do not know what is. For the record the Wii will never reach 50% market share. Wii is reaching market saturation point. The HD consoles will be reduced in price later on this year and the Wii is toast. You say Sony can not make losses on PS3, they are giving them away in TV promotions. Making a loss on PS3 is nothing to Sony. Sony is the biggest electronics maker in the world.

Anyone else find it weird that the worlds biggest electronic maker is actually worth less money then a single videogame company.

Just makes me wonder what sony does in their buisness practices that costs it.  Do they do sevre loss leading strategies in other departments too or something?  Loss leading never works.

Regardless.  Maybe Wii will make this, maybe not?  We'll see.  Anyone know the math with how many extra consoles it would have to sell aside from being equal with microsoft and sony?

Actually that's not hard to figuer out at all

19.78 + 14.22 = 34.. wow that's convient.

VS Wii's 29.14.

So if it was by the end of the year. So to do it... wii would need to do this.

PS3+360+ 4.86< Wii

for the rest of the year.

I am too lazy however to break that down in a week to week how much wii needs to outsell. All someone would need to do is figure out how many weeks are left in the year... then divide.

Then come back up here once a week and update whether the Wii was on target, ahead of target or behind target, and by how much.


Edit: Eh why not... There are... i believe... 34 weeks left in the year.

So Wii would have to outsell PS360 by about 143K a week.  Christmas might help.  Seems steep though.
