What I find interesting about this E3, is the fact that, more than any previous E3, there have been a large number of discussions centering on whose presentation was the worst. In the past, the retrospectives of E3 focused exclusively on arguments over which company had the best presentation. In my view, this is a pretty clear sign that, in the eyes of those who follow gaming news, this E3 was a failure for all three major players.

The real question was do you agree with the MS announcement that said 360 will outsell PS3 this gen?

wasn't it too early for a head of a company to state that?I eman PS3 is only a year and 8months old and MS is already predicting the end of generation??I mean PS3 is about twice as expensive in EU and it still sells better ,,,when the price difference gets to only 50 euro what is gonna happen then?

its all opinion and up to whoever thinks it, its not like theirs an Offical Best Of E3 winner.

I found it premature (and down right wrong) when Patcher predicted the PS3 would win this generation during the first week after launch.  I always thought he was a little too pro-Sony in his "analyses", but maybe he's getting more grounded. 

The thing is, even if Blu-ray pushes more PS3's, Sony needs people to buy games - and not just one or two.  How many people buying the PS3 for Blu-ray are going to buy multiple games?

N'Gai surprised me, I guess he really had a bad time when he saw FFXIII on X360 if you follow him a bit in the Bonus rounds then you know he is that kind of fanboy who really didn't cared about X360 and only liked to play on his PS3.

@Kenny: That's because E3 changed. There used to be gamers before, to who to show off games and gaming stuff, today there's just press, so you are going to show off stuff, that's just targeted to press.
And what causes the conflict, is that the people who look what happens in E3, is the same people as before, but this time E3 isn't for them anymore.

Umm did they watch the same conference that I did?  There was hardly any PS2 coverage.  There was the montage of games coming out this year, and there was the comparison at the start with what games were out at comparable times on PS1/2/3.  Outside of that I don't really remember much concerning the PS2.

Yes, I remember the organization after E3 2006.  As I recall, though, the discussions for E3 2007 still centered on whose conference was the best, even if it had already faded to a fleeting wisp of a shadow of its former self by last year.

while sony did good, the team that had the largest coup announcement which in most gamers minds put them as winning was the 360 with ffxiii -without that all 3 conferences were about the same, with that coup, sony just got about 2 or 300 thousand units worth of ps3 sales go bye bye.

think gta4 sales bump vs mgs4. gta4 had WAY higher sales than mgs4 but mgs4 sold WAY more console units. the same thing will happen when ffxiii comes out - great software sales, minimal console boost.
