If I had to button mash enough during the 1000 heartless battle in KH2, think of how much insane waggling I would have needed to do.

I can not see how this would improve anything except my wrist strength.

As for turn based RPG's, how does pointing the wiimote at my TV and selecting attack, magic, defend, etc... better than simply tapping up or down and the X button?

In an active time battle... expect to get your ass handed to you.

The only time the whole point and click on the menu idea works is on the DS, because it is right in front of you and you just simply tap.

Honestly, I think this is like the 700th time we have had this discussion.

Lol I'm not going to touch the turn based argument since we already had it 3 times already. About kh3 though. I already posted a situation where the main attack is mapped to the A button, then you have more powerful attacks utilize motion controls, and maybe even some magic coudl be maped to a motion gesture. Think the force unleashed or star wars the clone wars( if you watch the video the battles look extremely fast paced) type of motion controls for the stronger attack. That coudl work pretty well without making you too tired.

Edit: Oh and as for the IR if you have ever played SMG, or Wii Play(the target game) you will know how quickly it could be used. Same could be said for menus.

wait why are we talking about finances?

aren't we talking about game enjoyment?

Yes, yes we are. On that note, I'm very much on the same page as vagabond and torillian with this one.

@Vaga

It still doesn't make sense. We gamers care about the end result...but when the company doesn't really care then why bother pushing the idea? Like I said, a FF VI remake on the DS would benefit SE more than a FF VI remake on the PS3. Besides, it would take too long to make it on the PS3 and the DS would be faster, cheaper, and more profitable anyway.

Edit: Thread broke lol.

Because gamers have wishful thinking. You are more guilty than anyone else on this forum. You want KH3 to be annouced soon. Well, that is most definetely NOT going to happen for another 2 years. The point is, it's ok to want something how you want it.

I don't we should care what benefits Square Enix more than what you think would be best. If so, then all of there games should go DS and PSP because they are the cheapest and most profitable. Far more than ANY console.

I would much rather have KH3 on the PS3 instead of the Wii.

If it was on the Wii, the fighting wouldn't be 1:1 and I think 3:1 or 4:1 would be lame.

OK, can I just respond to this? :P

Actually...1:1 would be highly capable. They don't need to map the attack to motion controls anyway like I said in one of my posts above.

I wouldn't want 1:1 fighting in Kingdom Hearts, those battles are chaotic at the slowest of time

For it work efficiently and not kill my wrist, they'd have to redo the pace and style of the fighting in KH.

Yo guys, do I get permission to argue with the others and not vaga? Thanks.

Personally, I don't understand how the Wii makes you tired. Wii Sports doesn't make me tired...at all. Never has. I don't understand why any game would.

Also, I'd prefer the pacing to go back to KH1 pacing. You guys just look at KH2 and say "OMG too fast!" yet you completely ignore KH1...why?

Also, motion controls worked in MP3 fine. Worked in Zelda fine. Worked in SMG fine. I'd compare it mostly to Zelda though but Zelda doesn't make you tired at all and is pretty chaotic sometimes but the game played fine.

I just said special attacks and magic. If you can't handle those then you have a problem of being way too slow. Besides, you're going to use the regular attacks regardless anyway...right? I thought the magic system was pretty meh to be honest because the controls kinda sucked when it came to summons/magic. But then again...we have shortcuts right?

Well, Boxing did for me. After 10 rounds of boxing my arm and shoulder got tired. Sue me?

even if kh3 came to the wii it would not make much use of the wiimote,
at least that how tetsuya nomura its telling us lately for all kh games being developed

zelda doesn't have the amount of enemies going you at once that kh have,

if would be too chaotic.

Please provide these instances where he told us this.

he had said several time when making 358/2 that they won't change the kh main battlesystem much, at heart will always be a button masher that users need
to kill that amount of enemies at once.

but for the next kh, they are getting it closer to kh1, but adding a few things up like kh2 drives.

adding more links!

Nomura: For now, there is no function where you can use the DS Touch Screen. If we do that, the entire feeling of Kingdom Hearts may be ruined. The top screen will mostly be used for the story telling, when the lower screen isn't available. However, there will be some points where both screens will be used. Who knows, maybe later on we'll have a surprise for ourselves, and for our audience!

so in any case i hope they won't ruin it :)

358/2 gameplay

^ That was a year ago. Things could change, and usually do. I'm more interested in how there is a scan of kh 365 1/2 hinting to a release this year since yesterday and nobody has posted it yet on this site. (:

Edit: That gameplay footage shows nothing of the controls in the game.

@sc94597
it shows gameplay.
and they said it will be close to kh1.

and they won't change that because the entire feeling of kh will be ruined.

my point was only that.
since nothing else was shown for know we can't tell something have changed, probably i haven't

Of couse, but why can't it have the same gameplay with different control methods? They probably mean the pacing, and battle systems are similar. Anyway I think we should wait and see when it is announced and for what console before speculating on the control method, and gameplay.
