Forums - Gaming - [FFXIII] Who just...doesn't care?

I stopped caring about the Final Fantasy series long ago.

After the huge success of FFVII they decided every hero needs to be a Cloud ripoff by having the hero with no personality or anime fanboy look and every villain needs to be a Sephiroth (with IX being about the only exception which is why it was actually good).

Once they had the main character/villain formula down, they decided to take the extra time in creating characters and spend it all making pretty cut scenes. Once they realized those take a while they decided to also throw story out the window since simple people are amused by pretty colors and suddenly we have things like FFVIII, FFX, FFXII, and I'm sure FXIII.

And no, I don't think the FF series sucked since it left Nintendo so don't even bother trying to tell me that. I think it sucks since they stopped trying.

There are plenty of original games on XBLA, there are plenty of great ports, it has Xbox originals and coming this Fall were going to play XNA developed games. What makes PSN so pathetic are things that could improve it with minimal effort, like for instance, updating the Playstation Classics store with games, and ones people are actually asking for. The Xbox games Microsoft offers for download are 9/10 times the exact games people want to have. They have a wide breadth of some of the greatest arcade titles ever for download, some great lost gems like REZ and Ikaruga, and tons of PC ports. Games are updated more regularly. Also PSN isn't getting Castle Crashers. Automatic disqualification.

RPG's take up too much of your time. MMORPG's like World of WarCraft can take over your whole life and you only live to play the game. It can be really sad when a person becomes so obsessed with a game.

Lots of World of WarCraft addicts over 5 million of them and rising become mindless zombies playing the game 24 /7.

FF series  well  is no where near on that scale.

I dont care about the lose of exclusivity but I am going to get it on PC or PS3. Probably PS3 due to I prefer Action RPGs with controllers.

I was so into FF at a younger age. Just look at my sig. But X and XX really screwed it up IMO. I will still buy XIII because Square has given me so much in the past that I´m gonna give them one more chance. Hopefully, this time it will be good. Good story, I mean, not just graphics.

yeah lol my cousin has WoW and hes allways playing it, its kind of sad really.

Some would argue that those addicted to MMOs never had a life in the first place.

Since I own both Xbox360 and a PS3 i really don't care


What I REALLY care about is when the f-ing damn game will be released, been waiting for it now what? three years?.



If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)
