Forums - Nintendo - Wow I just had a friend visiting who had never heard of a WII!

Wow last night was really weird! A friend of mine was visiting and he saw my little Wii (it just got a more prominent place in my room). He was like "what's that?" So I said "that's a Wii" He: "what?" He never had heard of a Wii. I asked him what world has he been living in! I haven't met people who didn't know what a Wii is for over a year. Off course I got him to play Wii sports and like always he asked while playing tennis "what buttons do I have to use?" It's always so freaking awesome to say: NO BUTTONS! He really liked it! You guys/girls have recent experiences like this with friends/family?

It's no surprise, we got some weird people living here. Persons that are supposed to be physical therapist but are in fact just a 12 yo fanboy etc ;)

Not recently. But in 2006 and early 2007 I had such situations, when I took the wii with me to work ... Some guy even phoned his wife during playing with my Wii and told her that we play with a playstation ...
