If I remember correctly Donkey Konga had a few songs thrown in there that were like that. Like Bingo. You know, B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was his name-o? Yeah, those are the songs you just skip over.
CIHYFS?

You guys did see that you can actually really learn how to play drums on this. Or was this something that you missed. Double bass pedals on the balance board looks pretty damned cool to me. I can play drums on this and not wake up the entire neighborhood. No one else though that was cool?

You can play along to the hottest nursery rhymes and children's songs in history on the most popular and family friendly console, but this is squarely aimed at the young family demographic, not gamers.
Sure it will sell; the game is clearly designed to appeal to a very large demographic.
I just don't see the appeal to fans of typical music games like Sing Star, GH or Rock Band.

I definitely did.
It was the one saving grace of the demonstration, and the only reason I'd even consider buying this.
The only problem is the music selection you get to play the virtual drums to. If you don't want to play along to children's songs and Nintendo theme songs, you're going to be doing a lot of drum soloing in solo mode.
Now if Nintendo had allowed the drums to be played to accompany user ripped MP3s, that would be a real winner.
What? Something on the wii aimed at children? Surely not!

Zenfoldor, you're making up a lot of crap. And even the quotes that were commonplace, were often from PS360 fans and not Wii fans (whereas this game is getting a lot of poor reception from fans of every console).
Nobody was "bowled over" when motion controls were announced? ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME?!! People were amazed by the concept. The Nintendo conference at E3 06 was much larger than what Sony or Microsoft had, and the lines to play demos...well I'm sure you know the answer to that.
Again, you make good points a lot of the time Zenfoldor, but not here. Not now.
