If there were some way that I could virtually vomit on your virtual e-shoes, I would so do it right now.

Yes you should be scared that HDDVD will come back sony fanboy.

Says the guy with the 360 death sig...... right....

I'll just sum it up, there is a small number of 360 owners that don't have a HDD, FFXIII will probably require an install, so MS is stretching that as it is. There is an even smaller number that own HD-DVD add-on, since MS has ceased production of the add-on, how do you suppose that the large number of 360 owners without the add-on play FFXIII?

but it's not all about making the discs run on 1080p, it's mainly the storage size, that was the only thing blu ray really had over hddvd, a dual layer hd dvd would hold 30gb whereas a dual layer bd would hold 50gb, in the game industry it's about to come down to how much information they can store on a single unit.

ROFL,

funny how such a bull$h*% thread turns into a serious talk about the next format being used by ms, good job lastgeek, lol

im jsut going to lock this and ignore this ever happened.

The gaming industry is not going to decide a format, it's going to barrow from the home entertainment industry. That's why games adopted CD, and now are on DVD. In the coming years, they will be on BD.

And the thing BD had over HD-DVD was Sony. Sony owns the right to over half of all the movies that have ever been created (crazy). Whatever format they chose, was going to win.

Also, BD has now gone to 400 gig, so the limits are very high for the format.

BD is the media of the future. If you don't like Sony, don't worry, they don't really own it. Panasonic and Philips probably own more market share in BD then Sony (no one knows yet, as they have not collected any royalties). :)
