However, the Square Enix executive concluded: "There's not just one formula for success. But with Final Fantasy, the aim is to have as many people enjoy it as possible, so this is the form our marketing has taken."

Great, Square, that's the spirit. Now, release Star Ocean 4 and Infinite Undiscovery for the PS3, after all, more people would enjoy it. It's you aim, isn't it?

Well...isn't IU funded by MS? I don't think that'll go. I'm not sure any of them go because they're not developed in-house (SE just publishes/markets tri-Ace games) unless SE convince them that releasing them (maybe just SO4 because like I said, MS is funded IU I think) that releasing them on both is most logical.

The only reason SO4 is on the 360 is because at the time there were dev kit for the 360 and not the PS3. SO4 is bound to have a PS3 port sooner ot later since while the series has a decently sized fanbase in the US, it should also be known that the SO series also does pretty well in Japan and the 360's presence is virtually nonexistant in Japan.

That may be correct for IU, if M$ funded it, it should have the rights (of course, I don't know their degree of involvement), but for SO4, i'm 100% sure that's Squeenix's word that dictates where it may go, not counting paychecks from M$. Check this:

When asked whether the title would see release on the PlayStation 3, Square Enix producer Yoshinori Yamagishi replied "We can say that it will be released first [on the Xbox 360]. Whether we'll release it on the PS3 is undecided. We may release it, we may not."[1] Square Enix have since stated that there are "no plans" for a PS3 version,[7].

You can see that it's Squeenix who decides it, not Tri-Ace. If they decide there should be a PS3 port, there will be. Or if they want it, Squeenix themselves can port them. Afterall, it's their IP
