Sadly the Wave Race sequel will probably only be the Jet Ski mini-game on Wii Sports 2. It is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick I suppose, but it would be nice to see the game get a proper sequel.

the other one is animal crossing that they announced yesterday, and remember the interview with g4 afterwords? "why wouldn't core gamers be happy?  we announced gta and animal crossing" or something like that.  that is why I called it a core game, lots of people on here don't agree, but since i have never played it I cant say for sure, the graphics leave a bit to be desired for a core game but I don't judge games based on that (to much).  and for those that are not interesting in looking at my gaming list, I own 2 nes systems (got to love yard sale systems, first worked for a while and then stopped so I got a second at great yard sale prices, along with 99% of my games), a snes, an original gameboy and the wii, and I had never heard of either of those two franchises before joining this site.

 Well it depends on how much new blood we get on the site. Your last thread went down terribly as no one believed you at all (although I did love the execution which included a jab at Nintendo in the space normally reserved for the truth). With no jerks to laugh at the show doesn't stay as entertaining. I think you need to post some sensationalistic real thoughts for a while to keep people off their guard.

How is this any different from Miyamoto mentioning that the Mario and Zelda teams are hard at work on the Wii?

 It is a more direct phrasing which probably means a closer release date. He Said earlier that the Pikmin team (and Zelda and Mario teams) was working on something but they wouldn't announce it unless they had made significant progress in the development. Announcing the game means it is somewhat close to completion. This probably means we will see the game in less than a years time. Zelda and Mario are currently complete unknowns on release timeframe.

 Don't knock the purple pikmin!  They rule.  It was very gratifying walking around with 100 of those things, I could destroy all in my path so easily.

The only thing better than 200 purple pikmin would be 200 friendly bublax.  Those guys were immune to poison, electricity, and could walk through water, and it would be even better if you could keep them this time around.
