I understand the OP, I just Played Ninja Gaiden twice just because I missed the test of valor... It was not fun.... I never replay a game twice...

Thank you all for your supportive words in a time such as this. And yes, this is worse than getting off Crack and Herroin combined (although I'm allowing myself to straight up snort cocain since that's not really a big deal).
I just consider myself lucky that the 360 controller didn't inject gamer points directly into my veins.
Well, let's say that when I bought my Wii last year I was plenty pissed when could not find any "points".
But then... I found out that the Wii has a calender that records how much time is spent playing a game. I thought "That's kinda like points, it's a number..."
I would wake up at 4 in the morning with my Wii Mote in hand twitching "How many hours on SMG now??"
What have I become?
Interestingly enough, the last game I played where I cared about Achievements was Crackdown...
Yeah, it's bad.
I haven't played 360 in forever. And I'm having fun playing games. who'd have thunk it?

If I do unlock something... by accident, I just whisper to myself "It's okay, you didn't mean to do that..." |
Hmm, fairly certain you can turn off the notices that pop-up when you get an achievement. If that helps. Then all you have to do is avert your eyes when you hit the dashboard button to avoid seeing you're gamerscore. =P
And I'm sure trophies are nothing at all like achievements...
-- On my Microsoft Update Wish List --
1) Ability to disable unlocking Achievements
2) Ability to hide Gamerscore
3) Block access to Achievement Lists
4) Disallow friends from comparing Achievements (just so that a "friend" doesn't see my list and say "Hey! I see you've unlocked XYZ"
