@Bingoo The wii will have the Main Series Tales, Most definately the next dragon quest(after IX), and I think there is a good chance Kingdom hearts. So that is pretty big. Not to mention big nintendo rpgs, and tons of smaller ones. Also bengabenga didn't tell you all the games. http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=33737

Edit: By big do you mean saleswise or quality?

if ff13 is going multiplatform you really think kh3 a nomura title, a impressive japanese mind like kojima will not made it on HD system too?.

Of course, since it isn't his choice, because disney is the owner of the IP. Also why does having an impressive mind = hd console?

Edit: I'm not going to argue about this again. Read this thread, and you will know my points on why it has a likely chance on going to the wii. http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=26376&start=500

Damn, this may be the first console ever that came in 3rd place and actually contained the best lineup of RPGs. Microsoft certainly is devoted to crushing the genre.

I find this funny.. I read this and this imagination comes to my mind "RPGs hitches a ride with 360 straight to hell along with the following RPG fans...."

versus the kh group title is a ff13 exclusive, considering the engine development its more likely they are sticking to ff13v engine to work on their next big project.

and considering multiplatform it's the way square wants to go.

No, make the most money, that's the way SE wants to go.

I'm not saying where KH3 will go, it's really unpredictable, but FF13 was already way in development before it became clear that Wii would win this generation. In Japan this is clearer than everywhere else.

With KH only starting devlopment when the trends are clear it is not unlogical to be released on Wii.

You're absolutely right that they stick to their engine, but that engine also works on Wii. SE stated that for a reason. They also said that Wii is one of their main development platforms abd that's the only one that hasn't seen a big SE announcement. Square has to have one of their main franchises on Wii in order to max their profits. It's just too big to ignore.

360 is definitely showing some love to their core gamers. I love it.

Ok.... As I know how to deal with people who are ________, the only way to do this is... Let the man pass.

So I say.. Congratulations to this thread. You win a lollipop. -.-

Not to get into you're arguments but please.. KH3 this gen seems too bleak.... Same people are doing vXIII and still haven't started with that. FFXIII was 3 years or so since it was announced. Yet we still don't see anything.

I can only come up with 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance of it coming out this gen. That's how I see it.

@Iron How do you know they haven't started versus? I'm sure key members of the KH team like Nomura would be able to do both games. Also It makes no sense at all to not announce your third most successful franchise. Also on the wii the development times would be far less than on an hd console.(I'm thinking 2 or 3 years.) If they finish versus in 2010, which is likely then they could start KH3 and get it in at the end of the generation just like KH2. Or like I said before Key Members of the team could work on both projects.

@iron_megalith: You really believe they haven't started on KH yet?

Of course there will be a KH this gen. It's Square's 3rd franchise. They can't just leave it a full generation. That would mean a lot of revenue lost AND the franchise decreases in value because it wouldn't have a showing for 6 years.

Every comapny needs its biggest franchises. It will come, probably in 2010. The platform remains to be seen.

With the way it is now... Yes I do... FFXIII took like 3 years(4 or more to be expected) and still not done. If they're gonna forget about vXIII which is stated earlier(and I can bet it exists) than the KH3 that was not even announced yet then I'm all hands down on SE.

Unless they've been splitting their focus on FFXIII and vXIII then I guess it may be possible. The way it is now I'll stick with a disagree.

^ FFXIII and Versus are made by two different teams. Also I'm sure the KH team is big enough to work on both Versus and KH3. They seemed to be big enough to work on The World Ends With You( Yeah much smaller than KH3, but once they start to be finishing with Versus they could focus development on Kh3). Also disney will probably try to get them to make the game, if they haven't already, and if they don't they may try to find somebody else to do it for them, which square-enix wouldn't want happen(since Kh is so big to them).
