Forums - Nintendo - Dead Rising is coming to Wii! (scan inside)

Honestly MakingMusic, I think Wii is an even better choice. As great as DR is, it isn't exactly a Hardware Pushing Graphics Whore pleaser. Motion with lower resolution is a great trade off on this game (not many other 360 or PS3 games that I think belong on Wii).

I wasn't really looking at it from that perspective.

You see, back when DMC4 went multiplat, Capcom played it off by saying that their new strategy for HD development would be multiplat games, and that all HD games would be multiplat.  All, not just future games. They said they would be impartial to both platforms.  Of course Ps3 owners immediately asked, "So we'll be getting Dead Rising, right?"  Capcom said, "Uh...yeah, something like that."

A year and a half later and all ps3 owners got was a buggy port of the already craptastic Lost Planet.

- RE4 Wii sold well so Capcom is porting DR
- As much as possible Capcom will match the 360 look. - Is taking into mind casual gamers' needs
- Playable w/ Wiimote and nunchuck. There are waggle atacks similar to RE4 Wii.
- Wii version's camera is similar to RE4 (camera remains behind West's back).
- New aiming system
- New boss characters
- New submissions
- Some weapon changes / additions
- Can't announce all changes now

What about real free roaming and places for save points? :/

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

Yeah, because casuals were the ones who bought RE4...  idiots.  I hate people with MBAs making all that money to be stupid.

Oh and Magik, the other reason why it's being ported to Wii, they want it to sell in Japan.  This is up against a lot less competition for hardcore gamers on Wii then it would have faced on PS3 (with a smaller user base).

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Since Capcom is talking so much about casual gamer in relation to this game, i wonder will it become DEADZ RIZING!

.

This is wicked. Zombie killing is the shit. Awesome

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
