I think GDC will get bigger. I've heard a bit about E for all expo, I don't know how relevant it is though.

Don Mattrick himself has let slip that this Bungie game is a Halo game from an interview with Stephen Totilio (MTV):

MS is now very careful to only show games that are ready to be shown and not rushed. They dont need to rush these things anyway because of the boatload of games coming.

I was just about to post about this.  Looks like M$ wants a different venue for their bigger games.  But I am glad that M$ is still their publisher.

so, it countdowns to this?

^^No, the countdown stopped.

Guys, that has to be a hack. There is no way Bungie would take down there entire site (there are no links on that page), just to announce that they are not releasing a game.

EDIT: I take that back, there is one link, that takes you to there page... looks real :(

ya, it seems a lot of companies decided against announcing major info. Motorstorm 2 was supposed to get a solid release date, Resistance 2 get a release date, Crysis: Warhead was supposed to be shown at E3's press event, Bungie was supposed to announce their title, Forza was supposed to be there, Sony missed the rear end of what was supposed to happen, Activision announced nothing so far, and Blizzard was supposed to do a demo for tomorrow for Diablo 3 which is most likely not happening.

Did you reveal the mysteri game?

I was looking forward to whatever it was they were revealing.

But, with FF XIII winning E3 so easily, I think it was a good idea to hold back for another event where it would get the attention it deserves.

Microsoft seems to have a strategy of releasing something to counter everything Sony does.

hmm was M.A.G the mystery game ?

No MAG is being made by the team that makes SOCOM.  I think I heard the guy presenting the game say that during the presser yesterday.  Plus Bungie has stated they wanted to continue making games for the 360.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

^^That is true, and also the message was sent at 7:00. Bungie loves the number 7. If this is a joke of some sort. F*** them. Maybe it has something to do with the game.

If you look at the note there is 7 line of text in the body.

The splash page was formerly hosted as "homepage_3" but is now "homepage_4" - so not only was it likely planned but once again 7 (3+4)

why would Bungie, let alone M$, purposely want to piss of fans? It wouldnt make sense.

As for the ESA thing Claude. So far I have seen many comments from Lucus Arts, Activision, ID Soft, and others that have already left saying they dont like how things are being ran since the new guy was appointed. I feel that game companies probably wanted to lessen the importance of E3 by showing less stuff or have less major announcements. Basically it was a revolt against the ESA by most companies including Nini, M$, and Sony.

I don't know.

What do your sources say. You know, the ones that came through for ya with the $ony conference.

They did come through on some of their info. Sony did show 20 new games. The press event went nearly like it was supposed to, minus a few announcements and Kaz being there or HOME's scheduled release month announced.

Most press events going on now is all off site events not related to E3 and the ESA cannot stick their noses into so lets see what happens.
