Forums - Microsoft - Bungie game reveal cancelled

^^That is true, and also the message was sent at 7:00. Bungie loves the number 7. If this is a joke of some sort. F*** them. Maybe it has something to do with the game.

If you look at the note there is 7 line of text in the body.

The splash page was formerly hosted as "homepage_3" but is now "homepage_4" - so not only was it likely planned but once again 7 (3+4)

MS still publisher at least.

I figured as much because I knew they said that they wanted to release their next game on the 360 back when they split.

why would Bungie, let alone M$, purposely want to piss of fans? It wouldnt make sense.

As for the ESA thing Claude. So far I have seen many comments from Lucus Arts, Activision, ID Soft, and others that have already left saying they dont like how things are being ran since the new guy was appointed. I feel that game companies probably wanted to lessen the importance of E3 by showing less stuff or have less major announcements. Basically it was a revolt against the ESA by most companies including Nini, M$, and Sony.

Well, I guess I wait for one of those then, it would seem.

I think they raised membership fees to 5 mil a year to make up for lost revenue for deciding to stop allowing the general public into E3. And the reason they did that was because companies were "spending to much money on their booths" and they wanted to help them save money, only to raise the fees to more than what anyone was spending there.

What a load of bull, 5 million? No wonder E3 is going down the drain. If I owned a games company I wouldn't even attend if I had to pay that much.

Well 2 theories.

First, the game was supposed to be revealed first at one of the press conferences, and that fell through.

Second, their publisher is planning another reveal of it to generate more hype and media attention.

Either way I think this is actually really interesting. MS may not be the publisher haha. Especially if the first aspect is true. Keep an eye out on Bungie. It's possible their next game may be with another publisher. For what console? I don't know, but I have a feeling this isn't MS. I could end up totally wrong, but if MS was the publisher don't think that owuld have happened, especially that timing.

The ESA has really screwed up on this one. Multiple companies have pulled out of the ESA recently, and others are threatening to do the same. Generally, a shrinking convention is a sign of decline in a industry. But the ESA have managed all of this in a time of great prosperity, profits, revenue, and growth for the video game industry.

I expect E3 to be pretty irrelevant next year as other shows grow.
