@ssj12: What happened? Everybody decided E3 was bush league and wasn't worth their A-game?

Expect a ton of companies to leave the ESA over the next month. It has to be something to do with the ESA's new president. Basically the ESA killed their own event.

I'm pretty sure that this was planned.

If you watched that splash page earlier it would run through a bunch of different phrases including "expect delays" and "prepare for disappointment"

"Why do they call it the xbox 360? Because when you see it, you'll turn 360 degrees and walk away"

^^That is true, and also the message was sent at 7:00. Bungie loves the number 7. If this is a joke of some sort. F*** them. Maybe it has something to do with the game.

@Sieanr: Good point! There's hope!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I am not gonna get my hopes up. That would be really weird to do something like that though. Unless the publisher has something crazy in mind for E3.

There either joking and attempt a surprise or.....

they were planning a 256 player shooter named M.H.A.G. (Massive Halo Action Game) and decided to delay after the sony conference.

hehe!

OT - Is MS their publisher? Did MS tell bungie to hold back on the announcements?

Im not sure, but Microsoft still has a minority stake so they'd probably be the first choice. If its a halo title then it has to be MS as they own the IP.

I believe they said they wanted to take a break from Halo and try to make some Halo fans into Bunjie fans.  So I doubt that was it.  They are a good developer, I think Halo is a good game (I don't obsess over it since I am not big on fps games) so I have no doubt their next game would be quality and was looking forward to an announcement (hopefully a game with a simultaneous PC release).

What exactly could they have done recently to make everyone pull stuff at the last minute?

MS still publisher at least.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

Obligatory dick measuring Gaming Laptop Specs: Sager NP8270-GTX: 17.3" FULL HD (1920X1080) LED Matte LC, nVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, Intel Core i7-4700MQ, 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3, 750GB SATA II 3GB/s 7,200 RPM Hard Drive

I think they raised membership fees to 5 mil a year to make up for lost revenue for deciding to stop allowing the general public into E3. And the reason they did that was because companies were "spending to much money on their booths" and they wanted to help them save money, only to raise the fees to more than what anyone was spending there.

Thanks for the link Strategy. At least M$ is the publisher. Wanted their damn game announcement though. Makes Bungie look bad when they have a counter on their site even though it is M$'s fault.
