exactly,,,why would they sabotage PS2 sales when every PS3 means more loss for sony where as every PS2 sold means lots of profit for sony?

next year (when PS2 probably dies,and sony can return profit on every PS3)the BC compatible PS3 will be offered world wide ,,,just wait and see everyone.

They should just offer a $500 PS2/PS3 dual console bundle to make everyone happy. 100% backwards compatible, and playable separately!

Ok... So they're killing another reason to buy a 80gb PS3.... Well beats me.. I've got mine I feel sorry for the poor saps whose going to buy a semi upgraded 40gb.
