Apparently, a 3rd place finish worldwide.

Well they had a one single announcement that shot me in the foot... So yes we could say that.
They all needed help imo. If Nintendo is making the new Mario and Zelda, why make us wait till next year or later?
Sony's could have been so much better if we had surprises really. Mag is what surprised me from them, but it wasn't HUGE.
Micro's ff13 announcement OWNED ALL this E3. I must admit that Ms wins.

Sometimes you have to be blunt Shams. I get tired of dancing around hypocrisy of a good deal of the Sony fans on this site. As soon as any PS3 games goes to 360 all of a sudden, it doesn't matter or its not a big deal. Normally I would have put it this way....
Sony showed a bunch of titles that were already known to be into production and to CGI trailers. Frankly their fanbase has shown a propensity for accepting CGI footage on face value. Its been over a dozen years of this tactic from Sony and when their fanbase accepts this behavior, the blame shifts from Sony to their fanbase for continually believing footage obviously not rendered by Playstation hardware is in fact in game. Sony showed off Killzone 2 and Final Fantasy XIII at E3 2005 and their fans were quick to tout the power of the Cell when it was obviously not in game. How long will they continue to allow themselves to be bamboozled?
Same post, I just didn't bother to use tact in the original.

Nintendo is in a position where they don't have to prove themselves. They are selling assloads of hardware and software so they have already won this gen and don't need to compare dick sizes with everyone else to increase their ego.
Why hype the hell out of a game that everyone knows is coming and is going to be AAA . A trailer here and there is not how Nintendo operates successfully (remember the GC Zelda trailer and subsequent Windwaker release). It's much better for them to take their time building up the climax and bring it home in one glorious show, rather than shoot their load several times over the next two years while it's in development.
Rehashing the same shit over and over again only desensitizes you when the real meat is put on the table.

Microsft won imo. Also they showed that they are dedicated to the hardcore and the casual, something both Sony and Nintendo failed to do. |
Dedicated to stealing and buying what they need to survive. Rare, shamefull theft of Mii's. Banjo K, always Nintendo 4 me. FF, pay em off as usual
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

whoa, whoa, whoa. I remember the first year after the wii launched.... They were total wii fanboys... I guess that changed?
And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need... And this Xbox 360. - The PS4, the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360, and that's all I need... And these PS3's. - The PS4, and these PS3's, and the Gaming PC, and the Xbox 360... And this Nintendo DS. - The PS4, this Xbox 360, and the Gaming PC, and the PS3's, and that's all *I* need. And that's *all* I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one... I need this. - The Gaming PC and PS4, and Xbox 360, and thePS3's . Well what are you looking at? What do you think I'm some kind of a jerk or something! - And this. That's all I need.

who cares?
Kevin obviously likes the Xbox 360 more from what i've seen when i used to watch attack of the show.
And X-play never even states that the game they review is multiplatform for both PS3 and the 360. they usually just put the 360 label there. Plus, almost all the leaderboards they display are from the 360. Maybe it's not adam's fault, but eh, IDC, he works there, he should say something

I would agree with the sentiment that Microsoft has won the conference thus far. That is not to say it has not been a close run affair, and that the situation is not still fluid enough for the dynamic to shift. A couple third party exclusives announced could tip the scales to either other player.
For me Microsoft presented four very relevant new things. The new dashboard update is appealing to me aside from the avatars. The Netflix service being provided through the console. The Primetime channel which seems to be an entertaining option that does play to the consoles strengths. The Final Fantasy announcement.
The avatars do not impress me everyone carries the concept to the extreme of mediocrity. Hopefully Microsoft decides to give players a bigger pallet to play with. Copying ones owns physical features is dull as it gets. Let me create a fairy that when she lifts up her skirt fire shoots forth, and let me give her behaviors. Then you have my attention. That said the dashboard has a lot of impressive additions like the ability to talk with eight of your friends at the same time while doing something. Anyone who has used Ventrill, Teamspeak, or the like can attest to how much is enhances ones experience.
The addition of Netflix is very important to me. I am a subscriber to the service, and it provides unparalleled value for the money. The ability to use my console to watch the fifteen hours of free downloads I get a month only enhances to console for my personal needs. The marketplace has been traditionally very expensive with its offerings, and very restrictive. This brings entertainment on par with more conventional services.
The Primetime channel actually seems like a quality diversion. I expect I will spend a good many hours enjoying those games. Being able to compete for prizes will probably also accentuate the experience. Further more it is good casual fun that I will probably be able to share with my family.
Final Fantasy XIII being announced for the 360 beyond pride crushing bitch smack it was to Sony supporters does actually round out the lineup for the console. Now there is literally nothing lacking in the genre period. Basically the console went from superior to perfection.
I also think that everyone has ignored the Banjo Kazooie announcement. This announcement proves one thing. That Rare does have access to their old properties that they at least own in full. So perhaps Tooie, Jet Force, BlastCorps, and other fan favorites may be seeing their way to the arcade. Those are a lot of top tier titles that are still fresh enough to be relevant.
Like I said a couple solid game announcements could swing the pendulum the other way, but if history provides us any precedent games for live will mean more exclusive 360 announcements will be made tomorrow.
