Like has been said before MS showed 0 new hardcore games they show 2 multiplatform hardcore games,

They had a new Xbox 360 hardcore title, for 360 owners to enjoy. It was FFXIII. Not only did it boulster the library of the 360 in major ways, but it all heralded 360's dominance of the JRPG market, and embarassed Sony and their fans.

If making fanboys cry themselves to sleep and switch sides doesn't beat a wargame MMO and a bunch of games from two years ago, then I don't know what this world is coming to.

Sony showed a bunch of games we already knew about and two CGI trailers because frankly their fans are a bunch of dumbasses that have been falling for CGI footage for well over a dozen years now. I can't blame them, if you can continually feed crap to you fan base and they'd take it, it stops being your fault and starts being theirs. I mean how many years has it been since KZ2 and FFXIII's "in game" aka CGI footage was heralded by Sony fanboys? Three years, actually more than three years because E3 was still held in May in 2005.

 =)

indeed, i believe it was more entertaining.

But besides the MMorpg what is there that we didnt know about?

g4tv is just another 360 fanboy site, theyre even worse than IGN, the God Of War 3 trailer won it for Sony in my opinion

We shall see who wins by who sells the most.
It is ironic that most of the conversation is about a game that may not be out for Xmas 2009. By that time, others may have a lot of big games out that were only hinted about today.

In other words, Nintendo could have made a big splash about a Zelda game that is being worked on. But instead just hinted that the team got back together. My money is that Zelda Wii gets released in NA before FF XIII.

Now on the serious side, if you look at the announcements, Sony and Microsoft are trying to compete against cable companies and broadband ISP providers with their offerings. (If you don't believe me, Comcast offers me the same NBC shows to watch for free in On Demand with Digital Cable that Microsoft was trumping in its presentation). The downside of that is if ISPs begin charging premiums for excessive downloads (not from them), their business model is gone. And the cable companies are already making noise of going in that direction.

Microsoft's big game announcement seems to be a game that was already coming out on the PS3. Sony's big announcement seems to be a game that plays like it is on PC. Nintendo's big announcement seems to be that it wants everyone to buy another mini-game collection to get a piece of hardware (and I would reserve early as the Big N has not once been able to meet hardware demands this generation).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

All 3 conferences had weaknesses and strenghts. None were extremely good or bad. It'll take more time for me some discussion to figure it out.

G4? Who cares?

How much Microsoft advertising and sponsorship do G4 take in. Theres your answer, or its just coz MS is American.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Oiii! Not nice - play nice, or get banned. One and only warning.

didn't these guys give Crisis Core a 2/5?

Well, Sony fans are mad about losing FF13 exclusivity, and Nintendo fans are mad about Nintendo snubbing core gamers. Microsoft fans are probably "the show was fine" so... Microsft won imo. Also they showed that they are dedicated to the hardcore and the casual, something both Sony and Nintendo failed to do.
