Forums - Gaming - The secret to E3's success was apparently...

Booth babes.

That's right, people. Without them, E3 has dwindled into a yawn-worthy, lackluster press gathering.

Clearly, booth babes were the only reason E3 was ever good at all. None of the developers have the same drive to bring big news to the show anymore. Without scantily-clad women about the place, it doesn't have the same charm.

Ergo, they need to bring booth babes BACK!

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

We deserve a scenery break once in a while so I guess this is true. :P

sorry, I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to. Can you show some pictures to correctly illustrate what a 'booth babe' is?

But of course...

Here's a bevy of booth babes from a previous E3, an E3 before the downsizing. I know I'd bring the megatons to a show like this, wouldn't you?

... Why do you keep a pic of boothbabes from a previous E3? ... That kind of creeped me out.

As a Game design student, devs need time to focus on tasks at hand. 10,000 people and booth babes are disastrous distractions for biz, particularly the latter :)
