What's with the awful grammar on these forums? I've never seen it at this level. Some people even confuse 'then' and 'than'. How is that possible? Are people doing it on purpose?

If you see me do it, please remember that I went to French School almost exclusively. :)

my grammar sucks, and i can tell you i used "then" many times, recently i use "than" "then" is just easier to type

If I'm the culprit remember that Spanish is my mother tongue.

I misspelled "official", but generally, I have impeccable grammer.

We can forgive those for who English is their second language, though there is a spell checker of FF 3. Anyway, poor grammar is becoming very common, and there have been 2 separate "official" threads for the PS3 E3 conference, both of which have been spelled wrong

Lol, no, I'm not talking about anyone who speaks other languages primarily. In fact they tend to be better. Only native English speakers seem to have the ability to completely mangle English.

I presume it's because of the poor standard of English teaching. At my school, an understanding of Shakespeare was considered more important than being able to differentiate between 'there', 'their' and 'they're' or 'your' and 'you're'.
