Forums - Gaming - nintendo is on another level!

If by another level you mean abandoning Core and Casual Gamers for their new market convulsing convalescents then yes. A whole new level... Now I know how Sony fans felt yesterday. J/K

At least I'll have Mad World and Tales.

(Sword fighting looked cool, as did the Mic.)

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

GTA PSP and GTA PS360> weak graphics GTA DS
I have no interest in it.
Nintendo is agrissvly courting the casual, to the point where they might lose their hardcore fanbase. At any rate, I like Nintendo alot less now than I did in GC days, and I don't see how they will capture any of PS360's potential market.

The PS3, Xbox 360 and PSP all have very weak graphics by today's standards and you don't mind playing on those, eh?

Nintendo has already captured a lot of the PS3/Xbox 360's potential market. Either that, or the games industry is in serious, serious decline and Nintendo is off doing something unrelated.  But that's simply not the case.

The problem with the PS3 is that it is an expensive niche device.

The problem with the Xbox 360 is that it is only successful in the US.

Those reasons aren't why the Wii is succeeding.  The Wii is suceeding because it's damn fun.

I'm blown away that you enjoyed that.

Not really, GTA IV looks really nice, and the PSP games look really good especially considering the draw distances

Nintendo is on another level!! Unfortunately, it's a couple levels lower than I'd have liked.

Microsoft: Level 8
Nintendo: Level 6
Sony : preparing to play

Let me correct that for you:

Microsoft: Level 8 (9 if MGS 4 comes to 360).

Nintendo: Got stuck at level 2...

Sony: Getting ready to go kick some ass... Right?! Right?!... If not; this E3 officially sucks!

THE NETHERLANDS

the graph about the Wii dying comes to mind

i was thinking of buying my friends Wii of him for real cheap, but i would not give him 30 pounds for it, forget that

I don't think it was bad, there just really wasn't anything good. It was certainly lackluster but calling it the worst thing in the world is an overstatement. I tend to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt, but if they don't show us some good games soon that may start to falter...

My Games of 2011:

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Super Mario 3D Land

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

Prediction:
Nintendo will introduce "Wii Shit" at E3 2009 and all the vgchartZ fanboys will think it's the greatest thing ever.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

Your problem is that you don't realize who Nintendo was directing it at. Wii Music was never meant to interest you. I'm sorry that you don't understand Nintendo's strategy concerning this E3.
