BTW: We all know the Nintendo Wii is more casual than both the PS3 and the X360. All the: non gamers, girls, soccer moms , grand parents are also buying the Wii along with the Nintendo fans.

at the moment i would have to say the ps3. even though the 360 has the 2 ultimate hardcore games halo gears

i would have picked the 360 but this e3 has proven that they are trying to go casual,

The HD consoles are both pretty appealing to core gamers.

Edit: Just because they are girls doesn't make them casual automatically.  I have atleast 2 ex-girlfriends that would pwn your ass in any FPS or fighter.  Hands down.

I would give a slight nod to the PS3 here. Blu Ray attracts techie people and the higher purchase price keeps a lot of the mainstream market at bay for now. The fact that up until now its sold many units due to name brand and promise of future games lends more credence to this idea as well.

So PS3 by about 10% I say.

360 is for hardcore AND casuals as it seems, it's more balanced so i wouldn't say it's THE hardcore console (oddly enough).
