Lets be honest. Props to microsoft in getting this on their platform. How? We don't know but unlike sony they actually care about the console war.

I cant say it will be a crushing blow to PS3's momentum but they will miss out on a huge number of sales due to this, I know a couple of people who had this as there no1 most wanted PS3 game, but now its multiplatform they can instead focus on the rest of the line-ups and choose between 360 and PS3.

We will never know how many PS3 sales are lost due to this as an incress in 360 sales around the time of launch wont be as much as how many extra PS3's would of been sold as a lot of people who already own 360's wouldnt have the need for an extra console.

For all we know this game could of done what FF7 did for PS1 but now its multi-plat it wont have as large an impact on either of these consoles librarys and anyone can claim anything from the situation, even when the game is launched we will never know what would of happened a 40% incress on both might have been over 150% If it was just PS3. To me that is a lot of missed sales.

The other thing I feel about FF is that it brings with it more games that would of likely been PS3 exclusive so this may go further than just FF.

I have a 360 and im getting a Wii within the next 2 weeks, i was going to get a PS3 because of FFXIII because I have been playing the series for quite awhile now, it has effected my view on the situation and probably the views of others in similar situations.

To me this means that MS won't kill the 360 for a long long time.

Sony dropped the ball big time with FF XIII. Exclusivity of the game would have done wonders for the console in the US and Europe. yet now, along with the fact that xbox360 is cheaper by 100$ or more than the ps3, has a bigger userbase, is THE console for jrpgs, the outcome will be really hurting Sony. Maybe in Europe the PS3 will show decent to good numbers in SW and HW, but the Us will belong to MS as far as this game is concernd.
