Forums - Microsoft - Xbox 360 to allow you to DL and play ALL Xbox 360 games from Hard Drive!

Xbox Live Primetime - I'm guessing that will be games that are played during primetime television? such as 1 vs. 100?

They have similar games online for award shows and such. You watch the show live and answer the questions online. If this is done in partnership with NBC, ABC, or whoever then I'm expecting these games to be sponsored and free!

If Versus goes to the Xbox 360, I'll say to hell with the PS3 and buy a 120GB HDD for my 360.

Fable 2 will play quiet as a mouse.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

if this is confirmed it's the 2nd megaton...

· New display support. Because you asked for it, we are adding 16X10 over VGA or HDMI, and support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050.

This one is absolutely huge for me. I think I'm in quite a rare group of VGA users (seriously I know of no one else who uses them on the PC monitors lol) with a 16:10 widescreen monitor. The 1440x900 support will be amazing, I cannot wait to play my games at the crisp level of detail they should be. I can only play at 1280x720 or 1360x768 and the image is a little soft and fuzzy because of the non-native resolution of my monitor, this will ensure my games look as they should do.

Woot! I can't wait!

Microsoft wins E3? Don't know yet, but they sure as hell started off with a bang.

Microsoft wins life.

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

If world war 3 was represented in a console war, and everyone had loyalty to their country... all of NA would love Microsoft.

But I don't !

Go Japan, - Where hardware works.

̶3̶R̶D̶   2ND! Place has never been so sweet.

I thought the VGA news was pretty big too.

Now, having said all of this: if you can just download it all to a HDD, you *might* be able to then just use a USB HDD for all of these huge saves. The X360 does allow for you to use regular USB HDDs, but they are stymied from allowing all the normal access the intergrated X360 harddrives allow. But...This could be a viable solution.

Now I can put FFXIII on the HDD, and play the entire game without swapping a disk! Hehe he :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I hope you weren't referring to Sony hardware because the PS3 is the first hardware they got right. Now outside of the original NES, Nintendo would fit your assertion.

This finally makes me feel like the hard drive ont he 360 is a useful thing - I might need to nab myself a 120GB here sooner or later. It might also get me to start buying multiplatform games on the 360, too (depending on if the game runs better on the platform or not) - If all that's going are the fans in the back instead of the disk drive sounding like a jet engine, I'd certainly be more inclined to play it on the 360 with its more ergonomic controller.
