If it's microsoft-related, then it's a smart move to undermine the sony conference somehow.

who said that? E3 is a showcase for developers  & console makers...they can all have their own press conference: they could announce it tomorrow along with some news on halo wars.

Exactly. Nintendo announced Wii-Motion Plus today to get in a little attention on Microsoft day, and had FF XIII not been announced it may have been the biggest news all day. If Bungie announces something for Microsoft tomorrow, it could undermine the Sony and Nintendo conferences. It's all speculation, but I must say my anticipation is piqued on what the announcement is, and I don't even like Halo.
