FFIII going multiplatform is a big loss for sony.. to me it shows that
A. sony is not willing secure exclusives
B. MS is an animal and are really trying to knock out sony
C. owning more than one console is probably a must this generation..

sony is not dead by a long shot but they just missed out on a whole lot of sales in europe and america

Wow just found out about the news and nearly sh!t my pants. I was planning to purchase a PS3 when FFXIII was released. SE just saved me a few hundred bucks.

M$ just picked up Sony and gave them a MASSIVE F**K you. Seriously any self proclaiming JRPG fan that doesn't buy a 360 now is a total farce. Thi sjust won E3 for M$ in a massive way. I dont ever need to buy a PS3 now.

 Haha i think this statement will come back to haunt you my friend in a few months. I have watched the KZ2 videos over and over and it just doesn't have any of the things Gears 2 has, it doesn't make me think wow! Watching the Live Co-Op demo of Gears 2 did. It reminded me how much i loved the first one. I am probably one of few who own killzone 1 and i didn't like it. You should get a 360, i have all three consoles and appreciate certain games on each. But right now i look at my Wii as fun when i have friends over, my 360 is fun for when i'm alone and can pick any genre and play a decent game. Where as my more expensive PS3 is doing nothing and things like this mean it will continue to do nothing. I am a fan of games so i will go where the good games are. Resistance 2 was ok but in comparison to Gears it was nowhere near as good and i bet majority of people who have both would agree.

Final fantasy13 being ps3 biggest exclusive and Sony let it go multi semms like they dont care of ps3.

Its very funny to see all the PS3 haters who wouldnt even get close to a PS3 ever just reafirm themselves because a PS3 game will have a stripped down version on the 360.

No. FFXIII is a big hit to the PS3. A huge one actually. But I am not sure how much it would have driven console sales. I think if the PS3 ever wants to sell consoles in mass, it needs to lower the price by a lot.

By the time FFXIII was going to release, the PS3 would still be the same price (or close to it). MGS4 showed that no matter how great a game is, $400 is still $400. (more in other countries).

Sony is hurting, and will never catch the Wii, but it will surpass the 360 lifetime, even with the huge loss.

Then again, MS is doing everything they should do to win. If the next 360 (the 60gig model) actually removes the RRoD issue, they have a great chance of coming back.

It's a close call, but I still think Sony has enough to keep it in second place.

 lol u keep thinkin that the xbox 360 can match any graphic the ps3 can do at the moment, and by the way most mult plat games r better on the 360 so i think the ps3 has the stripped down games
