All you are doing is trying to troll the Microsoft forum and get away with it by being able to point to an outside source for the material used. He says nothing of any relevance nor anything that can or even needs to be discussed. All he does is rant about how he feels Sony is doing everything better while trying to spin everything Microsoft has announced into a bad thing. This was not even worth reading.

And I think he is a repeating offender, I gotta dug into his posting history but I believe it isn't the first time he does the same gig.

You don't really say anything completely off kilter, but you are really exaggerating some things. You're talking about poor of a value the 360/hard drives are, without talking about the PS3. It's not a great value either -- it doesn't even come HD ready out of the box. You still have to buy a $4 HDMI or some kind of component cable because Sony is saving $1 on each PS3 by not including them.

Well, all trolling from the article aside, I still think he makes some valid points about how this is also just spin by Microsoft. How can anyone deny that? :-/

How is announcing a clearance sale, and then saying you will put a better model in place of the old one at the same price spin? There is no spin because there is nothing to spin.

Because every news item I've seen about this price reduction only states the price reduction (in relation with a microsoft news release) without mentioning its temporary status. Isn't that considered spin (or withholding information) just to make sure people go for the "oh, lower price, buy!" reaction then?

If that's not spin, I'll gladly take back the comment (especially since I'm European and don't really care about American "perks")

Microsoft's official press announcment does include the new model and says they are discontinuing the old one though. Microsoft is being totally upfront about it unlike when Sony did the same move. It is on the individual news sites to report the information accuratly.
