Forums - Sales - If the Wii was $100

Actually it was $200 I believe (the same price as all their previous consoles) they increased the launch price due to everyones enthusiasm for it.

So if Nintendo had kept the price at $200 the likely reason they would have done so is because there wasn't such a huge consumer interest and as such it probably would have sold fewer units.

If the only difference was the price however, then it would have sold roughly the same by now.

That was Miyamoto and at that price that hardware wouldn't have all the wii features ( It would be a different system ).
