Forums - Microsoft - 3D Realms announces "Earth No More" for 360

http://www.xboxic.com/news/3088

"When speaking of 3D Realms, most mention Duke Nukem Forever. Sadly, the game isn’t being spoken of here, but a new game has been announced, and Earth No More will be featured in the July issue of Game Informer.

Earth No More will be produced for the PC, the Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3 and is currently slated for 2009 according to the article. There’s plenty of info in this piece about Earth No More, including text, a few screenshots, and interviews with Samuli Syvahuoko from Recoil, as well as Scott Miller & Raphael Von Lierop from 3D Realms.

It can’t be a magazine article about 3D Realms without talking about Duke Nukem Forever.

Finally, you’ll also want to keep your ears open for another big announcement coming soon (which doesn’t have anything to do with DNF)."

They should have canceled the Nukem game ages ago and moved on and saved themselves the mockery and bad press.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Yeah it's hard to believe it's been in development for 10 years now and likely won't be out this year either putting it to at least 11 years...

why did you name it only coming to the 360 when it clearly says coming to the PC and PS3 as well???

Nowhere does it say only for 360. This is the MS forum so he said it's for the 360. Which it is.

I guess the "for 360" is unneeded because Xbox 1 games have literally dried up and it has no handheld equivalent to the PSP or DS.

As for the game I guess I probably should have posted it in the general games forum since it's multi-console. Maybe the admins and posters in these forums can come to some kind of consensus about how these things should be handled.

I'm not faulting him for the title since it is the Xbox section, but it is a little misleading, as URNotE pointed out. No hard feelings or anything though. I wonder if they ever will actually release Duke Nukem Forever...imagine if you were one of the guys on the development team. They must have developed that thing for so many different sets of specs, if they were developing it at all.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.  It will probably come out about the same time as Starcraft II.
