I was planning to get the Pro model in the next few weeks but just recently there was that PR statement indicating that there would be a new 60gb model that will phase out the 20gb.

I don't care about the harddrive space, but what I do care about is the chipset. The questions I have is whether the falcon chip is really reliable, and whether this new 60gb model will have the falcon, or a newer chip.

The chipset is going to be the same in either console, as the hybrid 65nm CPU/GPU Jasper (or other name) is set to release in an extra 2-3 months before we see that chipset come to market.

And the Falcon is vastly more reliable than the older consoles, so either way, they are going to be good.
