This thread is pretty hilarious.
The fastest produced console before the Wii was the PS2, and there have been TWICE as many Wii's produced in the same timeframe. Also the fastest PS2 production came to was 2.2 million per month, which was in the middle of it's third year, a year later than Nintendo has just ramped up to 2.4 milllion. Everything else I would want to say Viper has already said for me.
Wii Fit has to come with the balance board, which happens to be the fastest produced perephrial from launch (excluding standard controllers that the machines come with) ever, and is probably being produced almost as fast now as the guitar hero controllers, which are the only comparable perephrial in terms of sales, but they pale in comparison to the Balance Board as far as technology goes (they are just hunks of plastic with a few buttons and the strumming thing)
Lol at the "PS2 sold more than 25 million a year" comment too.
The only legitimate complaints against Nintendo in terms of treating customers well are the delayed games to Europe thing and the lack of storage for Wiiware/VC games.
