That's exactly what I think about this news. They better create a comprehensive dev-kit or something totally different from what we've seen so far in console gaming or the developers won't be a bit interested in this new console.

But then again, it's all just a rumor....

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Announcing a new console already then they surely dont give much love to 360.

I HATE MICROSOFT THEY SHOULD GIVE THE 360 AT LEAST 6 OR 7 YEARS BEFORE THEY RELEASE THIS STUPID THING.

Don't use all caps when you post.

It's way too early to announce the 360's successor. it would sidetrack the momentum and gains the gaming division has struggled to achieve thus far- though I expect Halo 4 to be released on a new console.

Is this news really that surprising (if true) considering the 4 year lifespan of the original XBOX?

Keep this in mind when reading what I type...

I've been gaming longer than many of you have been alive.

Enjoy your 10 bucks.

the 360 has far surpassed the XBOX in terms of reputation and number of high quality games, the 360 is also selling well at the moment (in so much as it should surpass the sales of the XBOX by a long way) which makes an early release for XBOX 720 a big gamble for MS.

Seem really strange. If that is true, MIcrosoft must have some kind of ace up their sleeve. Otherwise, that´s a really dumb move.
