Looking pretty good.
Of course those scarabs are usually much, much bigger.

LOL.
And I noticed the scarabs are a little big. I think the scale for several things are a little off. Buildings and such. But this is not new to RTS games.

well, you don't need to since there are several high profile RTS games coming to PC that will crush Halo Wars soon: Dawn of War 2, Empire: Total War, Starcraft 2, Demigod, etc...
^^^ keep in my mind who halo wars is being made by before your write it off. Ensemble knows how to make a good RTS. I'm not a big fan of the RTS on consoles but I'm willing to check it out.
Looks good but with Starcraft 2 coming out,no sale.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It's not by who the developers are that matters, ofcourse I respect Ensemble Studios. The problem is that Halo Wars is a console RTS... and no matter how great it gets, it will always be worse than the average PC RTS.

That's not necessarily true. Console RTSes have been inferior because they have all been ported from the PC and had no business being on a console. The control scheme the game was meant for was compromised. Halo Wars is built from the ground up to use the 360 controller, and with Ensemble's abilities, it may not feel compromising at all. There's also Ubisoft that has found a workaround by implementing voice commands into EndWar. I'm not saying that either will trump games like Empire: Total War and Starcraft 2, but they can easily be better than the average RTS. Retro, Rare, Bungie and many others made FPS games work on a console. I'm sure someone can make an RTS work too.
