The only games I can put side by side are SM64-BK-DKC64, Rare made a good BK but not great like SM64 and DK64 was a big letdown from the series, and Jetforce Gemini is, well is just a nice game... BK, Blastcorps, Goldeneye, and Perfect dark, are amont the best of the N64, but thay can´t top IMO OoT, MM SM64 and SSB... (And yes I own all of them, and sometimes I still play with them...)

If you think PD and Golden Eye looked bad, take a close look at the others games around at the time. I'm assuming you think Mario 64 looks like trash because Galaxy looks better than it. And sure, some of the games haven't held up well over time, but that isn't really fair. If a game was great at the time, then it was great at the time. It would be more of an indictment on the industry if FPS never progressed after PD and Golden Eye.

As for DK Country... the first two were great, the third was meh and the 64 version paled into comparison beside Mario 64. As for Killer Instinct, it was fun, and that's more than enough for me. It's no SF:Turbo, but there are few games of that calibre anyway.

Since Nintendo sold them they dont have not had them to help them with the finer points of gameplay and their games have sucked.

Wow. Some of the games on that list are some of the greatest ever! Donkey Kong Country is a classic and has never been overrated in my opinion (it has been underrated if anything).
Banjo-Kazooie was a super refined version of Super Mario 64 with quirkier characters.
Killer Instinct was the pioneer of insanely high combo fighting games. No other game at the time came at you with intricate types of combos like that. Very entertaining. I can't say the same about its sequel though.

This is my 2 cents. Plus, take a look a Blast Corps... probably one of the most underrated games of all time.

Best Rare game came way before N64...or Donkey Kong Country... Battletoads. By far the best rare game...

If Rare somehow produced a sequel to Jet Force Gemini that equalled or bettered its predecessor, any sixth- and seventh- generation mediocrity would be totally forgiven.

Also, the Xbox port of Conker's Bad Fur Day was bunk. In addition to many other issues, no beach = no deal.

N64/Snes Rare was definatly not overrated. They where the only devs I'd imidiatly purchase a game from besides Nintendo and frankly, was never let down. The above list is bullocks, and probably made up by someone who considers Halo to be the best console shooter and lashes out to anyone who dare says that Goldeneye is better (I.E. me.)

Nowadays it's just hit and miss. Viva Pinata is awesome, and the new Banjo looks promising at least. But besides that we have Perfect Dark Zero, A remake of Ghouls 'n Goblins, a crucified Conker... Nowadays you just don't know with these guys

It's probably on the most overrated games list for sony fanboys cause they are bitter.
